Floridians will vote on restoring voting rights to 1.5 million felons in November

Florida is one of just three states that permanently revokes felons’ right to vote, even after they’ve served their sentence. In November, votes will have the chance to change that.
It’ll appear as Amendment 4 on the midterm ballot. If at least 60 percent of voters approve the proposal, it would “extend voting rights to most convicted felons without a formal hearing process. It would not apply to people convicted of murder or sex crimes.”
